PATTI SMITH, P.I. reimagines the “Godmother Of Punk” as a 60-something coffee-drinking private eye interrogating a young whiskey-guzzling Janis Joplin for unspecified crimes. But as Patti grills Janis about her supposed self-destruction, Janis upends Patti’s assumptions, turning the harsh light of interrogation onto Patti’s own personal life. The resulting war of wits deconstructs the myths surrounding the two female rockers who stayed true to themselves while navigating the male-dominated industry of sex & drugs & rock ‘n’ roll. Adam and Sam pack up a one-room schoolhouse, now in shambles. Or rather, Sam packs up the room while Adam sits back, bullying Sam with his crude boasts about banging chicks. But when Sam sees an apparition of one of the slain Amish girls, he berates Adam, reminding him they’re cleaning up a school shooting. Despite his defensive strategy, Sam remains the underdog until Carlie, Adam’s girlfriend, joins them. As the dark side of this triangle is revealed, Carlie grows to realize that the Amish schoolroom massacre was really a hate crime against girls and part of a larger misogyny. So SHOOT ME…

On Valentine’s Day in a posh chocolate boutique, salesclerk Stephanie caters to her clients’ unique needs. Kevin doesn’t want to spend much to keep his booty call happy. Middle-aged Ritchie spends what he must on his teenaged girlfriend, Tara. Cheryl and Joel argue over the family shopping list. And Roxanne has her weekly purge to maintain. But although she indulges her clients, Stephanie is incensed by the homeless woman loitering outside the shop. A love letter to those sweet on chocolate, SOFT ON THE INSIDE is the perfect Valentine.

As Daniel reveals he’s indeed without a home and grieving his best buddy killed in the war, Maribeth takes him home for a shower… and more. And that’s just one way Daniel settles the score with Maribeth’s husband, Pete.
